August sees Mojca in Switzerland, Spain, Salzburg, and Scandinavia

Following successful turns in Madrid and France earlier this summer; a busy August for Mojca Erdmann kicks off with the Kuss Quartet. Appearing with the foursome on August 17 at the Sion Festival, Mojca performs in two soprano-centric chamber works: Schoenberg’s String Quartet No. 2, Op. 10 and Schumann’s 6 Mélodies, Op. 107.

From there, the German soprano heads to Vilabertran, Spain, for a recital of Schumann, Schubert, and Strauss at the Schubertíada a Vilabertran, joined by pianist Gerold Huber and clarinetist Ona Cardona on August 21, before landing in Salzburg for the city’s eponymous festival on August 24. Appearing with the Scharoun Ensemble under Matthias Pintscher and alongside baritone Matthias Goerne, Mojca continues her mission to champion new works in a program titled “Beyond Recall,” which features twelve premieres by twelve composers.

Mojca’s August wraps up in Aarhus, Denmark, on August 31 and September 1 with two gala concerts at the Scandinavian city’s Musikhuset. Led by conductor Joshua Weilerstein, she’ll sing arias by Donizetti, Mendelssohn, Mozart, and Puccini. For more information on all of these concerts, check out Mojca’s schedule.
