Concerts in Germany span Schumann and Reimann

This week, Mojca Erdmann gives two concerts in Germany, following her run of Der Rosenkavalier at the Bayerische Staatsoper. On March 14, she joins the Beethoven Orchester Bonn in the ensemble’s hometown for a Freitagskonzert. With conductor Stefan Blunier, she performs songs by Webern and Berg, as well as Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.

The following evening, Mojca appears at the Frankfurt Alte Oper for “Die Lange Nacht der Romantik,” where she will sing works by Schumann, Kurtág, Grisey, Rihm, and Reimann. There, she is joined by the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, the Ensemble Modern, and Cuarteto Casals, as well as violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja, pianists Igor Levit, Alexander Lonquich, and Dénes Varjón, as well as clarinetist Jörg Widmann.
