This fall Mojca returns to the Met as Susanna in Mozart’s Figaro

This fall German soprano Mojca Erdmann will return to New York’s Metropolitan Opera as Susanna in Mozart’s masterpiece Le nozze di Figaro. At once disarmingly tender and wildly comical, Figaro captures a single day in the Almaviva household, la folle giornata (or “day of madness”) upon which lustful desire, long-held promises, and undiscovered bonds converge. David Robertson will lead an outstanding cast that includes Ildar Abdrazakov as Susanna’s cunning husband Figaro, Christine Schäfer as the pageboy Cherubino, Maija Kovalevska as the Countess, and Gerald Finley as the infamous Count Almaviva. Mojca’s Met performances take place October 26 & 29 and November 3, 7, 10, 13, & 17.
