Schwetzinger Festspiele concert celebrates music of Aribert Reimann

On May 19, Mojca collaborates with an ensemble of celebrated musicians at the Schwetzinger Festspiele for a concert that explores the music of contemporary German composer Aribert Reimann alongside works by Schumann and Debussy. Mojca opens the performance with Reimann’s “…ni una sombra” for soprano, clarinet, and piano. The work is based on a poem by Friedrich Rückert and text by Antonio Porchia. To place Reimann’s work in context, the program will also include Debussy’s “Sonate en trio” for flute, viola, and harp and Reimann’s arrangement of Schumann’s Fantasiestücke for flute, clarinet, two violins, and harp. Mojca will close the evening with Reimann’s “Ollea,” a song cycle for solo soprano based on four texts by the Romantic poet Heinrich Heine.
